'Wadia' way to go!

Yet another Indian company is foraying into the luxury retail sector. On Tuesday, Ness Wadia spoke to NDTV Profit about about how his company Bombay Dyeing is planning to establish a luxury high street in Worli (Mumbai) and is also in talks with leading luxury companies for a franchisee arrangement.

While he is not willing to divulge details yet, Wadia does admit that the expansion plans are already underway. He also says that they're planning to invest heavily in infrastructure to facilitate luxury retail. As we're only too well aware, one of the biggest problems for Western luxury brands is the paucity of high-end retail space, so this is definitely good news.
